The World Needs Your Encouragement, Support, and Love.
Find out why joining the Legion of Mary is so empowering! By joining the Legion of Mary, you will be encouraging and supporting people who may be seeking council for their faith, people who have lost hope, who are ill spiritually and physically and in general could be going through a lost time in their lives. As a member, you could be visiting the sick in a hospital or those confined in nursing homes, or their own personal home, assisting in your Parish with duties such as RCIA, perform as acting Ministers, visit Parish Homes, take a Parish census, conduct a Catholic Information Stand in a public place, or speak with those interested in the Church.
As God calls you to be present you will feel the grace of Our Lady working by your side!
How Do I Join? Many parishes have a Legion group (called a Praesidium), which meets weekly. Notices may be posted in the Parish Bulletin, or you can ask your Parish Priest, or call the rectory. If your Parish does not have a Legion group, you may join in another nearby Parish, or email the Senatus (see Contact us), to find the location of a group near you. There are also groups for those who are foreign born, for example, a Korean Curia, or a Spanish speaking Praesidia. Next, show up at a meeting.
